Career Tips From A Corporate Director At A Leading Global Companies

My parents called me Napoleon Parker. People who see my given name prior to encountering me frequently think that I’ll turn out to be a dork. Or uncool, like that Milhouse who wears a button up shirts and Coke bottle glasses while he sells cars. A few friends think of Hobart and Poindexter Wright, but as of lately, I can’t think of anyone who has believed me to be a Legal Document Translation consultant.

Honestly, I’m not a popcorn spokesman or a interpreter. I’m an expert in interviewing and position seeking. I’ve depleted most of my adult life instructing professionals on locating careers and training expert career consultants how to do the same.

During the current 14 months I have been the Corporate Director Training Construction and Solution Creation for the leading mult national career solutions business. The title is has so many characters that it barely squeeze on my employee card, but it’s a terrific and I love it. Some people see the title and think I’m a Certified Transcript Translation executive, but I’ve never perceived myself that way. I’ve always perceived myself more as a trainer. And I think you might think that I’m a leader. I guide people through the employment search maze to better opportunities.

When I began in this industry in the 1980’s, I began by working with people in large networking rooms to instruct them on their jobs and how to locate good existing positions. I helped with manufacturing associates, financial professionals, and everyone in the middle. Nearly all of my workers were unemployed, so it was necessary to them to begin work as soon as possible. With this task, I taught a great deal about what people demand to do—and not do—to find employment more quickly. After I’d struggled individually with thousands of people for a number of months, I began instructing courses on how to find employment. I found hundreds of people in tiers of 15 or 20. Furthermore, I continued this for numerous months.
