College fascilitates learning and mingling with different people giving yourself the opportunity to challenge your abilities and match up the social expectations while being unique. Pushing yourself to just be accepted is something that many college students do in order to keep their college social life intact.
When students strive to be known within their community, college social life becomes the focal point of their being. So they choose to follow different techniques to gain popularity and be known in the community. One such technique is to act weird and say weird things and to become an entertainer in some way to gain attention. One can also enjoy a prolific College Social Life by testing their strengths by trying new things like a sport, hobby or talent they loved but hadn t been able to pursue and then getting to know more people who share a common interest/s with the same passion as you thereby making sure that your College Social Life is with people who share a bond with you and know your name because you were yourself and they appreciate you.
Ones College Social Life though is an essential part of college life. The catch remains that it is the individual that chooses whether they are going to enjoy a healthy College Social Life with certain limitations that they have set by for themselves, or just let themselves go with the flow and be picked up and tossed around by peer pressure and social stigmas. Getting to know and building relationships with fellow students is a human necessity and does indeed help nourish your College Social Life, but who you chose to associate is a contributing factor to your life because your friends do actually have the influence to make or break you.
A common grave mistake along the way that many students get trapped in to is getting in to associating a group of people that they really do not like but are rather obliged to in order to keep their identity intact for colleges social life. The danger however is that one fine day when college social life does not matter to you anymore, you will lost for identity of self. It has never been and never will be worth the consequences that one will have to face in their later lives. It doesn t matter if you re the best known person with a thriving College Social Life because when you apply for your first major job interview, you will not be questioned on how many cans of beer you can guzzle within five minutes but of your qualifications, expertise and relevant extra curricular activities and interests.
