Even basic necessities such as bedding and pillows can be bought in vibrant colors. If you are not much for bright color you could always purchase them in pastel colors to give yourself a calm feeling while you re studying. You could also decorate your walls with posters and maybe even your favorite painting!
If you share the dorm room with a mate, it is always important to ask for his/her opinion before any changes be made. Remember it s his/her room as well and you do not want to get in the way of his/her comforts.
