How to Develop Photographic Memory Quickly and Easily
So you want to learn how to develop photographic memory?
Well, there is great news - anyone can improve their memory! Some people are naturally gifted with excellent memory capabilities, however you too can work on your memory and increase your memory potential. When you learn these elements and techniques then you too will have photographic memory too.
Here are several simple techniques you can do straight away to develop your memory way beyond your current potential:
Association: When you meet someone, or learn something new try and associate the new peice of information to something you already know. This will link the new information to something you can already easily remember. For example, when meeting someone new see them shaking hands with some you already know with ths same name - this way you will not forget them or their name.
“Chunking”: This is where you “chunk” long lists into smaller groups to make them easier to remember. The easiest example remembering a phone number - we dont recall every digit individually, we split the number into3 or 4 groups of digits to make it easier to recall than the entire list of numbers each individually.
Visualize: Create a vivid picture in your mind – this is often the most effective way to remember as by making a mental picture, you are utilizing a totally different area of your brain and this helps you to add brain power to remember it.
Recite it: Repeat out loud to yourself in your own words want you have just learnt. This is an easy way for you to increase your memory rapidly. Repeating new information over and over will help to store it deep within your mind and you will retain and be able to recall the information much better.
Make a Rhyme: Making a song or a rhyme can make information easier to remember, it can get stuck in your head, or even though you can’t remember the actual information you can remember the rhyme and then after recalling it you can remember the actual information. A classic is the “30 days hath September, April, June, and November” rhyme to remmber how many days are in each month of the year.
Acronyms: These are initials which form a more memorable word which are initials that creates pronounceable words. For example RSVP is an acronym for Respondez S’il Vous Plait
