If You Need To Travel Long Hours On Public Transport You Will Probably Be Pleased To Have A Laptop
You know the scenario! You are travelling on public transport and the most annoying person in the world is sat by you, wanting to tell you their whole life happenings. Why? Just because you are sat there! They could talk a glass eye to sleep and have decided today is your “lucky” day. You grin, look shocked, give little responses, after all nothing more is needed, you are their captive audience, and you wish you could be anywhere else but there.
If, however, you are fortunate enough to have a portable pc, you can get this out, smile politely and let your co-passenger know that you really must get some work done ahead of a meeting you need to attend, or at the end of the day, work you must catch up on because you have been in meetings all day. They will, more often than not, leave you in peace.
There will however be the odd drunken passenger who assumes you must be fed up, having to work when on public transport, and will decide it is their job to enrich the experience for you, but on the whole it is better than no laptop at all. If you Work From Home, it may well be that you are required to travel to see clients, and those hours spent travelling could be perfect for getting work finished, in relative peace and quiet. There are probably many Online Jobs which you can catch up with while you ride on the train, perhaps not on a bus or a plane, but other work could be undertaken, in readiness for internet connection at the other end of the journey.
Work From Home does not actually have to mean you are working from your abode all the time, it just means that you are not driving to an office or business premises daily. An Internet Business could let you work from practically anywhere, so long journeys could be seen as something of a dividend – you are sat down, you are not driving, you can dedicate this time totally concentrating on the job in hand. When you get to your destination, you feel you have achieved something worthwhile during the journey.
The pleasure of working in the Internet Business at a time like this can be wonderful! Setting off on a journey at 6am or getting home after 11pm, knowing you have put in a long day but which has been of benefit to your company, allowing you to perhaps have a short day one of the other days of the week to make up for it, great! Those Online Jobs which were increasing are now all in hand and feel you are now on top of your jobs.
It could be you even find time to email your friends, those who you have been intending to get in touch with for some while but there is always a reason why this does not happen. Today is the day to do it. You are there, with your laptop. Many travellers sit on the train watching iplayer or similar, just chilling, and it is wonderful to see them sitting with their headphones on, giggling away at some television programme. Work is done. Give yourself a break.
