Students Graduating From University Are Finding It An Uphill Struggle To Get Work In Their Selected Area Of Expertise
Many years of tutorials, completing assignments, sitting exams, running up student debts. All will be worthwhile when you manage to acquire a job in the field for which you have such passion.
Now you have got your degree and it is “Welcome to the real world!”. There are careers available, for which you would be the ideal candidate, but they all have the same concluding line – must have experience. The confidence you built up during your years at university, in the knowledge that you are obtaining all the most modern knowledge in your field, seems to count for zilch. Nobody is willing to give you an opportunity because you do not have years of applicable work experience.
Your bubble begins to pop. The CV you so carefully put together is just not able to get you past the agencies and into employment. What can you do? Sticking with the job you were doing at the local coffee shop, bar or restaurant while you were studying is really not what you wanted as your career path.
You now need to completely rethink your situation. What are the Careers In Demand right now? Most graduates have a vast awareness of computers and the net – would it therefore be worth thinking about a job in the Internet Business? Is it worth thinking about the option to Work From Home?
You may think that as a young person you really do not want to Work From Home. You want knowledge working in a company. But consider owning your own Internet Business… You may then be capable of being able to obtain experience in exactly the field you love. Working for yourself would mean you obtain all the profits and if in the years ahead you decide you would prefer to work for another company, you may be able to sell your own Internet Business as a going concern.
It may well be that once you have been self employed and become established, you are able to provide Careers In Demand for new graduates. How wonderful to know that you have helped yourself initially and are now able to help future graduates obtain that elusive experience in a working environment.
Maybe you will make a decision that you like the plan of being able to Work From Home – an alternative which until now you had not considered, but are not sure exactly what sort of job you would be able to do. Look on line for inspiration. There are many alternatives for jobs in the Internet Business, but there are also Careers In Demand in the franchise industry. Some franchises may be quite costly to buy into, but there are others which are relatively cheap, many under £10,000 and it may be that you could obtain such a franchise, therefore establishing your own business, but with background support from the chain.
If as a recent graduate you think that the choice to Make Money From Home is not right for you, continue your search in your ideal career, offer to do voluntary work for a company who does have links to your ideal role and keep confident that one day you will get there. It may be an employers’ market today, but there will always be Careers In Demand and your willingness to gain experience in any form possible will hold you in good stead.
