What Are The Various Kinds Of Engineering
An engineer has become more and more an essential individual of our fast growing society. Gone are the days when two or three kinds of engineering were the basis of technical progress. There are about 200 kinds of engineering which have evolved and are are advantageous for the society at large. A few growing potential engineering branches comprise chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, Engineering Management, Engineering Sciences, Geotechnical engineering and Mechanical Engineering. All these branches, though dissimilar, are connected and are of immense assistance to each other. For example, one of the greatest inventions of the 20th century was the Computer. It was made by a civil engineer back in 1941 to help his Geotechnical engineer fellow. Till today, the computer is still improved by software and computer engineers.
The numerous kinds of engineering have provided a wide variety of options to all those students who desire to pursue engineering as a career. It has revealed new fields. A student can now enter engineering in accordance with his level of interests, and further down the line can continue with a job that they always dreamt of doing or are the best at doing.
Chemical engineering has further sub categories to it. Agriculture, Biosystem, Environmental, Food, Forestry, Material, Plastic and Water Resource are a few to name. Individuals residing in the modern world are not very much aware of the wonders chemical engineering and its sub branches are offering to us. It has evolved the entire agricultural method, the environment in which we live, and practically everything around us.
Civil engineering deals with building and construction, which partly involves Architectural Engineering too, whereas Electrical engineering focuses more towards Communications, Computer, Electromechanical, Electronic and Software engineering. Eng Management includes Industrial Engineering, Manufacture Engineering, Integrated Engineering, Unified Engineering, Production Engineering and Systems Engineering. Engineers coming under Integrated and Unified Engineering are the ones who study main engineering basics like mechanical, civil, chemical and electrical generally, and search the jobs accordingly in the industry.
One would be surprised to learn that Eng Sciences involved interlinked subjects such as Engineering Chemistry, Engineering, Mathematics and Engineering Physics. Pupils who have studied biology previously, and would prefer to become an engineer eventually, those students might find this field very interesting.
Those students who are willing to become geotechnical engineers have a choice of choosing a specific branch of engineering in this particular branch. For example, Gas Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral, Mining, oil and Petroleum Engineering. Geomatics engineers collect, display and analyze data about the Earth’s surface and its gravity fields for uses such as mapping, legal boundary delineation, navigation and monitoring changes in the environment.
The most commonly adopted engineering kind all across the globe is mechanical engineering. Its sub branches comprise of Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and Naval Engineering. When considering popular kinds of engineering, aerospace engineering usually comes to mind. Aerospace engineering is the specialty in which planes, helicopters, missiles, satellites, and spacecraft are planned, created, and tested.
The above provides an idea to the student to select a particular branch of his own interest. Whichever branch one should choose, it should be by choice not by force, or else the outcomes will not be worth the effort put in studying.
